Rate Severity of Blizzard of 2013

National Weather Service indicates that about 17 inches of snow was dumped on the town.

So, the Blizzard of '13 dumped about 18 inches of snow on Barrington, according to the National Weather Service.

There have been biggers snowfalls and smaller snowfalls in town. But maybe not a snowfall with the high winds -- 50 to 60 mph gusts -- and lightning and heaviness of the snow of the Blizzard of 2013.

And maybe not a snowstorm that wiped out power to the whole town.

How would you rate the severity of this storm? Do you remember a blizzard that knocked out power to everyone? How did you cope with the blizzard?

RI is a third world country that a storm should knock power out like that. They should learn from other countries that have much more severe storms and UPGRADE the infrastructure/wire grid!
