Welcome back, Patch Blogger!

Post Your Public New Year's Event

Are you planning a public event on New Year's Eve or New Year's Day? Post it directly to the Patch calendar.

Are you planning an event for New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day that is open to the public?

Post your event directly to the calendar on Barrington Patch. It’s amazingly easy to do.

If you don’t have an account, you’ll have to register. But it’s free and it takes only a few seconds.

Now go to the green Post An Event calendar icon near the middle of the home page or go to the bottom right corner of the home page, where you’ll see Find Contribute in green. Then find ‘Put an event on the calendar’. It’s in blue.

Make sure no one else has already posted the event. If they haven’t, you’re ready to post.

Fill in the event title first. Then follow the directions for the When and Where and What and all the other boxes.

The primary publication should automatically say Barrington Patch. You can change it if you want or add other Patch sites by checking the boxes.

You can also upload photos or videos by clicking on the green upload box.

The final step is to click on the green Post My Event box. Your event will show up on Patch as you posted it.

Want to guarantee that we know you posted an event that we should consider for a feature on the home page? Send the URL to the editor, William.Rupp@Patch.com.
