Phyllis McCaughey, of Barrington, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013.
She was the daughter of the late Louis and Getrude (Cahalan) McCaughey of Pawtucket.
She was a teacher in the Barrington school system for 35 years, and a member of the Barrington Woman's Club for over 25 years. She was an avid reader, golfer, bowler, bridge and mah jongg player.
She is survived by one brother, James W. McCaughey of Cumberland, and four sisters, Lois Kuhn of Barrington, Janice Gagnon of Weeki Wachee, Fla, Mary-Lou Breault of Pawtucket, and Regina Silvia of Dunedin, Fla, and 10 nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 27, at 9 am from the Smith-Mason Funeral Home, 398 Willett Avenue, Riverside with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Luke's Church, Washington Road, Barrington. Burial will follow in Mount St. Mary's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held today from 3 to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Luke's Church.
