Tickets are $5 and going fast, though, she said: “It’s nearly sold out.”

Performances are on Friday, Feb. 10, at 7 pm and Saturday, Feb. 11, at 1 and 7 pm. To reserve a seat, contact artsalivebarrington@cox.net or the Nayatt School office.

The production includes 141 children from Nayatt School who have been rehearsing since last September. You can expect to see a play full of “swashbuckling, music and plenty of surprises,” said Davis. “There will be fencing, a Blackfoot Indian dance, some sassy mermaids and some animated special effects.”

“We are hoping the show will inspire both kids and adults to never grow up or, at least, believe in fairies,” she said.

“Sticking to tradition,” Davis said, “the play is set in Victorian London, until we move into Neverland, where the stage will transform into a child's fantasy world.”

“Spectacular costumes” have been created by Arts Alive! co-founder Kimberly Durkin, said Davis. Choreography is by Elizabeth Jernigan and vocal training is by Wensday Greenbaum. The stage design is by Phil Viall.

“As always, many folks in the community have contributed their time and talents,” she said. “Hundreds of volunteers have helped either in the rehearsal room or behind the scenes.”

“Peter Pan” is Arts Alive!'s second play this season, following the performance Primrose Hill School’s “Alice/Alex in Wonderland” a couple of weeks ago. Next up will be the Sowams School production of "101 Dalmations" at the end of March.

“It's been a busy year so far,” Davis said. “It's wonderful to see so many kids in our community taking part in theatre.”
