Close the 'Reality Gap' at High School

Noted teen psychologist to offer a behind-the-scenes look at teens and the 'Reality Gap' that often exists between adults and adolescents.

 

Stephen Wallace, former chief of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) and a noted teen counselor and psychologist, presents his popular “Parent Power” program in the Barrington High School auditorium at 7 pm. It is designed to give parents a “behind-the-scenes” look at today’s teens and the "Reality Gap,” the title of his book, that often exists between adults and adolescents.

The Barrington Preservation Society Museum is open from 11 am to 4 pm for viewing of its exhibits and collection and the recording of oral histories.

Al Anon, a weekly meeting of adults raised in alcoholic homes, meets at 7 pm at St. James Lutheran Church, 49 Middle Highway.

Arts Alive! offers classes in dance, singing and acting for kids of all ages at Chiselin fitness studio, 20 Bosworth St., at 4 pm. Visit the website for more information.
