The museum wants to record your memories of those wars for posterity, said Carole Villucci, museum director. The museum also is transcribing them as well for a book.

“We only have 5 to 6 so far,” said Villucci. “We’d like many, many more.”

Nicole Amaral, a graduate student in public history at Northeastern University is coordinating the oral history project. You will sit down with Amaral or Villucci to record your memories.

Sittings so far have ranged from 10 to 15 minutes long, said Amaral.

You can just stop by the museum on the lower level of the library. Or you can call 789-0802 or send an email to museumdirector@barrpreservation.org to make an appointment.

Either way is fine with them. They just want to hear your history.
