'Moons' Over Barrington Shopping Plaza

Four teen boys admit they were 'mooning' drivers from the shopping plaza roof last Wednesday.

Drivers got an eyeful last Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 9, if they glanced skyward when they motored past the Staples store in the Barrington Shopping Plaza.

Four teen-age boys, one age 15 and three age 14, were reportedly “mooning” vehicles from the roof at about 3:45 pm.

A Barrington patrol officer responded to a call about “suspicious” subjects on the roof and found three of the alleged “mooners” at the bus stop on County Road not far from the shopping plaza.

The boys admitted that they had been on the roof and flashing their posteriors as a prank, said Barrington Police Chief John LaCross.

The boys’ parents were contacted to pick them up at the police station. The teens were not charged, but they were warned about staying off the roof and keeping their butts under wraps.
