Meet Democratic Candidates for Barrington Town Council

Town Council President June Speakman and Town Council Member Kate Weymouth are seeking re-election; Planning Board member Ann Strong is making her first run for office.

 

A political science professor, an architect, and a self-employed engineer and designer are the Democrats vying for seats on the Barrington Town Council in this year’s general election.

Two of the Democrats already holds seats on the Town Council and are seeking re-election. One candidate, a newcomer to a campaign, is a member of the Barrington Planning Board.

Barrington Patch asked Town Council President June Sager Speak, Town Council member Kate Weymouth, and Planning Board member Ann P. Strong to fill out a questionnaire that provides a brief profile of their backgrounds.

You will see that Speakman is seeking her fourth term on the Town Council. She is a liaison to the Housing Board of Trustees and the Parks and Recreation Commission.

You will see that Weymouth is seeking her third term on the Town Council. She is the liaison to the Housing Board of Trustees and the Committee for Renewable Energy Barrington (CREB).

Strong’s profile shows that she has been self-employed for 24 years. This is her first try for public office.
