Who are your favorites for an Oscar tonight?

The 85th annual Academy Awards air starting at 8 pm on Channel 6 (WLNE-TV). You’ll probably have to wait until almost midnight to find out which movie wins the Best Picture award.

Who do you pick to win?

The nominees include: Amour, Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les Misérables, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook, and Zero Dark Thirty. 

What about best actor and best actress? 

Make your pick for best actor in a leading role from among Bradley Cooper, Daniel Day-Lewis, Hugh Jackman, Joaquin Phoenix, and Denzel Washington.

Make your pick for best actress in a leading role from among Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence, Emmanuelle Riva, Quvenzhané Wallis, and Naomi Watts.

There is some local flavor for an Oscar as well. 

Jennifer Lee, a screen writer who grew up in East Providence, is a nominee for a screen-writing Oscar for “Wreck It Ralph.” The Disney Animation movie is up for an Oscar for best animated feature film.
