Nature Inspires Acrylics on Display
The paintings in the Barrington library by artist Vani Gupta are inspired by the patterns, colors and shapes of nature.
A display of acrylic paintings inspired by nature are on display in the Barrington library for the month of February.
Painter Vani Gupta creates intricate and varied patterns, textures, colors, and
shapes.
"She finds the most striking features are found in the natural world and this amazement is reflected in her work," said Jessica D’Avanza, the community services librarian. "She enjoys painting flowers, leaves, trees, eroded surfaces, anything that nature has worked its magic on."
Gupta has been interested in drawing and painting since an early age, said D'Avanza.
She lives in Providence with her husband and young son.
Exhibit hours are the library hours: Monday-Thursday, 9 am-9 pm, Friday and Saturday, 9 am-5 pm, and Sunday 1 to 5pm.
