Learn All About 'Kissing Sailor'

Barrington Library hosts a talk tonight by the authors who discovered the identity of the famed 'kissing sailor' of World War II; take T'ai Chi in Haines Park.

 

Authors Lawrence Verria and George Galdorisi of “The Kissing Sailor” talk in the Barrington library at 7 pm about uncovering the identities of the famous kissing soldier and nurse taken after the surrender of Japan in World War II.

The Barrington Community School offers an 8-week outdoor  T'ai Chi class at Haines Memorial Park, led by Bob McManus, at 8:45 am. Classes will meet at St. John's Episcopal Church when it rains.

The Recreation Department offers an open gym every Monday at 7:30 pm for basketball players 16 and over, men and women, in the Barrington Middle School.

Play bridge at the Barrington Senior Center at 6:45 pm.

Arts Alive! instructional classes in acting, singing and dance meet at 4:30 pm at Chiselin fitness, 20 Bosworth St.
