Land Trust to Cut Ribbon at Park

The Barrington Land Conservation Trust has created a park just off the East Bay Bike Path; a ribbon-cutting and dedication ceremony is next Saturday, Nov. 10.

You are invited to the opening and dedication of Lombardi Park in Barrington next Saturday, Nov. 10. It starts at 2 pm.

The Barrington Land Conservation Trust has created a park on land given to it by Salvatore and Josephine Lombardi. The CVS Caremark Charitable Fund provided financial support.

The new park is located off the East Bay Bike Path entrance on North Lake Drive, said Beth Rondeau, co-president of the Land Trust.

“Walk west along the path until you reach the park entrance,” she said.

You can't miss it. A marker on the bike path identifies Little Echo ice pond, part of the Lombardi land donation. And a sign for Lombardi Park rest between a bike hoop and stone steps that lead to perch complete with a stone bench. It looks out over the ice pond.

“Join us in celebration and thanks with hot apple cider,” Rondeau said.
