It's Election Day; Hear Baseball Talk

You can vote in the Rhode Island Presidential Preference Primary at three locations; baseball historian offers free talk in the Barrington library.

 

Today is an election day in Rhode Island – the Presidential Preference Primary – with polls open from 7 am to 8 pm at three locations: Sowams and Barrington Middle schools and the senior center.

Rhode Island College history professor and author Robert Cvornyek, a baseball scholar, will talk at 7 pm in the Barrington library about “black baseball in Rhode Island from 1883 to 1949.”

The Barrington/Warren Rotary Club meets at 6:30 pm at the Wharf Tavern, 215 Water St., Warren.

It’s another BEF (Barrington Education Foundation) Night at Tyler Point Grille on Barton Avenue; eat in or take out and the restaurant donates 10 percent of the proceeds to the BEF.

Take in a movie at the Barrington Senior Center at 12:30 pm every Tuesday.
