Holiday Weekend Means Fun, Food, Traffic
Expect County Road to move slowly Friday afternoon as many people start their Fourth of July weekend about a half-day early.
If it’s Friday, well, it’s not your typical Friday since it starts of the Fourth of July weekend, so be prepared for much heavier traffic this afternoon on County Road.
You can still dance the night away if you want at the Democratic Club, 186 Roffee Street, where Nelia Lawtown will lead ballroom and Latin dance lessons and host a social dance to test your skill starting at 7 pm.
The Coffee Depot in Warren, 499 Main St., also will hold another “open mic” night starting at 7 pm for anyone who wants to share their voices with others.
Senior scrabble players probably won’t be going anywhere except back to the board starting at 10 am in the Senior Center on the lower level of the library.
Just because it’s a holiday weekend won’t stop the ‘White Church’ farmers’ market from setting up again on Saturday morning, giving you a chance to shop local and shop fresh.
