Barrington Schools Closed Monday
The Rhode Island Broadcasters Association, in collaboration with AAA New England, hosts a closures webpage online.
The Barrington Public Schools are closed on Monday, Oct. 29, because of the threat of hazardous weather from Hurricane Sandy. The announcement came at about 5 pm Sunday.
Barrington Christian Academy and St. Andrew's School also announced late Sunday afternoon that they are closed Monday.
You can follow all of the Barrington school and other closings on the RI Broadcasters Association Closures web page. [Click the link to visit the site.]
The page lists all public and private schools, as well as businesses and government agencies.
RIBA also allows computer and smartphone users to sign up for email and text alerts on school closures.

But is there going to be trash pick-up in town Monday morning before the storm arrives?

The answer to that is yes as we found out this morning when the truck raced by at 7:25 am. No one on our street had trash out Sunday night as usual because we didn't want the barrels blowing around. Fortunately they made another pass and we stopped them. This information could easily be posted on the town web site which I kept checking last night.
