Final Day to Tour Navy Ship
The USS Carter Hall has been anchored in Narragansett Bay for a few days.
Take a tour of the USS Carter Hall in Bristol for the 4th of July celebration; it’s open for visitors from 1 to 5 pm. Expect a 30-40 minute shuttle boat ride from the Coast Guard Station at the foot of Constitution Street to the ship at anchor. The first boats will leave at 12:30 pm each day and then every half hour.
Stop by to see the current exhibit of the Town Museum operated by the Barrington Preservation Society in the lower level of the library: “200 Years of Barrington Summers.” Hours are 11 am to 3 pm.
Barrington Books hosts a children's story hour each Thursday at 10:30 am for kids ages 2-5. The store is located in the Barrington Shopping Plaza.
Check your blood pressure at the Barrington Senior Center at 10:30 am and stick around to play bingo at 1 pm.
The East Bay Toastmasters meet at 5:30 pm at 30 Alexander Ave., East Providence; the program is open to anyone who wants to improve their oral communication and leadership skills.
