Barrington police pulled him over on County Road for speeding early Sunday morning.
An East Providence man, 22, faces a drunk-driving charge after Barrington police pulled him over early Sunday morning, Dec. 9, for speeding.
Justin J. Bravo, of 371 Dodge St., Riverside, was traveling north at 1:45 am on County Road, according to Barrington Police Chief John LaCross. He was pulled over by a cruiser who spotted his vehicle traveling 50 mph in a 35-mph zone, LaCross said.
Patrol Officer Joshua Melo recognized several signs that Bravo had been drinking after he approached Bravo, LaCross said, including slurred speech. Bravo then failed a field sobriety test.
Bravo was taken to the police station and arraigned by a justice of the peace. He faces a DUI charge and refused to take the Breathalyzer test, LaCross said.
Bravo was held overnight in a cell before being released to his parents Sunday morning.
