Concert Opens July 4th Celebration

For all of you July 4 aficionados, today at 6:30 pm is the opening ceremony for the annual Bristol 4th of July celebration; go to Independence Park for a brief patriotic speaking program and a concert by Band of Brothers.
If you haven’t done it yet, mark your calendar on Thursday for the 6 pm event at Police Cove to recognize John Lazzaro for almost a half century of community service.
Get your fresh summer fruits and vegetables at the weekly Farmers Market at Haines Memorial State Park from 2 to 6 pm.
Join the weekly knitters group at the Barrington Senior Center starting at 10 am.
Here’s something else to mark on your calendar: the School Committee meets at 7:30 pm on Thursday in a rescheduled meeting in the school department conference room in Town Hall.
