Celebrate Summer; Food Drive Starts
Barrington Senior Center to serve chowder and clam cakes; RI food bank, which serves TAP-IN, starts summer food drive.
Celebrate the start of summer at the Barrington Senior Center with a special meal of Blount’s clam chowder and clam cakes and a slice of watermelon at 11:30 am; sponsored in part by Saint Elizabeth Manor and Cornerstone Adult Services.
The summer food drive of the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, which supplies food for TAP-IN in Barrington, kicks off today; the campaign seeks 150,000 pounds of food.
A farmers' market runs at Haines Memorial State Park on the Barrington/East Providence line from 2 to 6 pm.
Love to knit? Join with fellow knitters at the weekly 10 am session at the Barrington Senior Center in the lower level of the library building.
The Town Museum operated by the Barrington Preservation Society is open from 11 am to 3 pm for exhibit viewing and the oral histories.
