The French fries at Billy's Restaurant are the best in Barrington. Or maybe it's their delectable sweet potato fries.

The popular restaurant in the Maple Avenue shopping plaza garnered 40 percent of the votes in the most recent "Best Of" Patch poll. The poll ran this week before ending this morning at 9 am. It asked voters to pick the best spot in Barrington to get fries.

"I love their sweet potato fries," said one voters of Billy's fries. "I go there just for the fries."

Five other restaurants garnered 9 to 12 percent of the votes each.

Miz Fibz Deli & Cafe came in second with 12 percent. Madigan's Cafe & Wine Bar trailed just behind Miz Fibz with 11 percent; Newport Creamery got 10 percent, and Chiazza Trattoria & Bar and Pepperoni's got 9 percent each.

It seems obvious that lovers of the sliced and deep-fried potatoes have their own favorites. But Billy's stands out as the Best Of in this poll. It's food truck actually got a couple of votes, too.
