Barrington Exec Named Board Chairman
Keith Kelly of Barrington is appointed chairman of the board of Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island.
Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island (HHCRI) has named a Barrington banking executive as its chairman of the board of directors.
Keith D. Kelly, senior vice president, corporate banking at RBS Citizens Bank, Rhode Island, has been selected to lead the board. He succeeds Ken Kermes, who served as chair since 2010 and who will remain a board member.
“Since his appointment to the HHCRI board in 2007, Keith has played a significant role in the areas of finance and strategic positioning,” said Diana Franchitto, president and CEO of Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island. “He brings a passion for excellence to the organization with his leadership, energy and generous support. I am looking forward to working with Keith as we continue to focus on providing compassionate and skilled care for those who are seriously ill.”
Kelly has extensive experience in the finance/banking world with more than 20 years of experience in the commercial banking industry, including asset based and real estate lending, along with small and middle market lending experience, according to Home & Hospice Care.
He is responsible for developing and maintaining commercial loans relationships throughout the bank’s market area. Before working at RBS Citizens Bank, Kelly was with The Washington Trust Company, according to Home & Hospice Care.
Kelly also sits on the board of trustees of the Rhode Island Historical Society and the Hattie Ide Chaffee Home, and he is a member of the Inter-Parish Loan Fund Advisory Committee for the Diocese of Providence.
Kelly holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami (Florida) and a bachelor’s degree in accounting and economics from Ohio Wesleyan University. He and his wife, Lynne, live on Lantern Lane.
