Scores of music-lovers spent last Sunday afternoon, June 3, with Mozart.
The Barrington Presbyterian Church presented a concert of instrumental and choral music written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The concert was part of the music program of the church.
Selections came from Mozart’s “Vesperae Solennes de Confessore” and were performed by the Chancel Choir. Pieces also were presented by vocal and instrumental soloists .
“Our music program provides music education to the congregation and community of our church,” said The Rev. Patrick Notley, pastor of the Presbyterian church. “As part of our service to the community, we hold concerts and other musical events, and provide musical opportunities for all ages.”
“Our music program has a history of excellence, and has performed at such venues as the Breakers Mansion in Newport,” he said.
A free-will offering was collected to benefit the music program.
