5 Things to Know About This Weekend
Some clouds, some snow; pasta dinner at St. Luke's School; Eco-Depot day; KofC free throw championship; Groundhog Day Concert.
Here are five things you should know about this weekend in and around Barrington:
- Saturday will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the low 30s and Sunday has a chance of snow shower with temperatures about the same.
- The St. Luke's School eighth grade hosts a pasta dinner tonight at the school, 10 Waldron Ave., starting at 5; the dinner includes food, raffles and music by singer and guitarist Lino Del Signore, described as one of the last remaining traditional troubadours.
- There will be an Eco-Depot Saturday starting at 8 am at the Central Landfill in Johnston; you can dispose of your household hazardous waste.
- The Knights of Columbus Free Throw Championship starts at the local level Saturday from 11 am to 1 pm at St. Luke's School, 10 Waldron Ave. Open to all boys and girls from 10 to 14.
- A "Groundhog Day Concert" takes place at the Bay Spring Community Center on Narragansett Avenue Saturday starting at 7 pm; Barrington's own Mark Whittaker and Bay Spring Folk are among the performers in this Local Brew Coffeehouse event.
