5 Things to Know About This Weekend

Here are five things you should know about for this weekend in Barrington, starting tonight, Dec. 14.
- Parents, you can enjoy a worry-free night out tonight while your children have a fun-filled time at the Bayside YMCA. The Night Out starts at 5:30 pm and includes gym time, pizza, popcorn, a movie and more! This week's theme is Nerf Dart Tag.
- The Barrington United Methodist Church, 230 Washington Road, hosts "An Evening of the Arts: A Christmas Celebration at BUMC," tonight starting at 6. The evening will include singers/soloists, musicians, readings, a children's pageant, a carol sing, and more.
- “Barty Smarty’s Christmas Caper” returns to the Barrington library on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 2 pm. It’s a hilarious interactive musical holiday happening for the whole family. Accompanying the freakishly festive music will be a visually stunning video collage of classic holiday animations and television specials projected onto the big screen. Free and open to all. - The Barrington Preservation Society presents a Winter Jazz Concert on Saturday evening, Dec. 15, featuring the Barrington High School Jazz Ensemble at the Barrington Congregational Church. It starts at 7:30.
- Have breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Tyler Point Grille again on Sunday, Dec. 16, starting at 10 am. The kids can take pictures with Santa and receive a treat; you can enjoy a great breakfast with family and friends. Call for details and to make reservations for the annual event.
