Here are five things you may want to know about this week:
- Get out from under the paper clutter on Tuesday evening, Oct. 16, with the help of master organizer Lisa Griffith of Barrington; she’ll teach you how to file, not pile, at the East Bay Chamber of Commerce, 16 Cutler St., Warren, from 6:30 to 8 pm.
- The League of Women Voters hosts a “Candidates’ Forum” in Barrington Town Hall on Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm; meet and greet the candidates for Town Council, School Committee and the General Assembly starting at 6 pm.
- The Townwide Trails Team meets on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 7 pm in the Bayside YMCA to discuss future trail-maintenance projects in Barrington's parks.
- Learn to pair up wine with cheese at Grapes & Grains, 24 Bosworth St., on Friday, Oct. 19, from 5 to 7 pm.
- Drop off clean, gently used winter coats, hats and gloves from 9 am to noon at two Barrington churches on Saturday, Oct. 20: St. Luke’s on Washington Road and Holy Angels on Maple Avenue. It’s a coat drive by Boy Scout Troop 6 and the Knights of Columbus.
