What’s coming up in Barrington this week, Sept. 10-16, that you should know about for your calendar.

The Barrington Town Council holds its monthly meeting on Monday, Sept. 10, in the Council Chamber in Town Hall at 7 pm; on the agenda is the introduction of the ordinance that bans plastic grocery and takeout bags in Barrington.

The Barrington Business Association meets on Tuesday, Sept. 11, at 7 pm at Chiazza Trattoria & Bar on County Road; it's the first meeting after a summer hiatus with the October fall festival heading the agenda.

The Barrington Council of Republican Women invite you to an evening dessert on Wednesday, Sept. 12, at which Margaret Kane of Barrington, president of Operation Clean Government, will discuss the mission, members and activities of OCG. It starts at 7 pm at 17 Brentonwood Ave.

Lepre Physical Therapy, 236 County Road, hosts an East Bay Chamber of Commerce "business after hours" networking event starting at 5:30 pm on Wednesday, Sept. 12.

Save the Bay's "Beach Slam 2" takes place on Sunday, Sept. 16, at Tillinghast Farm on Nayatt Road; it starts at noon with a host of family-friendly activities, music and food on the Narragansett Bay beach and in the farm meadow next to the beach.
