What’s coming up in Barrington this week, Sept. 2-8, that you should know about for your calendar.

Monday, Sept. 3, is Labor Day. Schools and all government offices and the post office are closed; there will be no mail delivery.

The Audubon Environmental Education Center offers a Labor Day full of activities for children. Registration is not necessary. The center is located at 1401 Hope St. in Bristol.

Barrington Pilates, 47 Maple Ave., holds an Open House for Studio 47, its newest fitness space, from 12 to 7 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 4. A champagne toast and refreshments will be served between 5 and 7 pm.

Center ACE Hardware on County Road hosts a car wash to benefit the St. Luke's church Jamaica missionary trip next February. 

Barrington Neighbors and Newcomers Club hosts an open tennis tournament for East Bay players at Barrington High School on Saturday, Sept. 8, from 4 to 7 pm.
