3 More Unlocked Vehicles Burglarized

Barrington police receive reports of thefts from three more unlocked vehicles.

 

Thieves hit several more unlocked vehicles in Barrington last week, according to the police log.

An iPod Touch was taken from a vehicle parked in the driveway of a home on Quincy Adams Road. The theft was reported on Thursday, Nov. 22,, at around 6:43 pm.

A pair of Oakley sunglasses and several cigars were pilfered from an unlocked vehicle at a home on Wildflower Road. The theft was reported on Friday, Nov. 23, at around 9 am.

A TomTom GPS was reported swiped from an unlocked vehicle at a home on Honeysuckle Court. The theft was reported to police on Sunday, Nov. 25, at 1:19 pm.

Police also received a report of a theft of a different sort on Black Friday, Nov. 23: identity theft.

A Highland Avenue woman, 51, said her Discover credit card was used illegally to purchase $662 worth of clothing from overstock.com.
